FILLED TEACHING EXAMPLE — DELETE BEFORE CUSTOMER ISSUE Fictional example dated October 15, 2026, matching the bathroom estimate worksheet. Not a market price or actual customer job. Scope: 8 × 9 ft bathroom; 3 × 4 ft shower base; 60 sq ft floor tile and 100 sq ft wall tile. Retain fixture locations, existing mirror, light, towel bars and shower curtain/rod. Install the listed shower assembly, stock 36-inch vanity with integrated top, toilet, faucet and shower valve/trim; replace fan on verified existing duct route; paint, trim, dispose of debris and clean. No custom glass, niche, bench, service relocation or concealed repairs. Price basis: direct costs $10,700 + internal risk reserve $535 = $11,235. A 30% markup for overhead and profit adds $3,370.50. Example selling price BEFORE applicable tax: $14,605.50. Purchase taxes and tile freight are omitted pending verification; resolve these costs before issuing a real quote. Internal risk is not a client selection allowance. Included direct-cost supply allowances: wall tile 110 sq ft × $5 = $550; floor tile 66 sq ft × $5 = $330; vanity/top $1,500; fixtures $700. Tile installation is separate; vanity/fixture installation is in the plumbing trade quote. Vanity/fixture delivery included; tile freight and all taxes excluded from these sample amounts. The price above already includes these costs and their markup. Example duration: 15 working days AFTER all start conditions are met; actual dates remain editable. Confirm assembly drying/testing time and inspections before promising completion. Example change CO-001: Customer selects wall tile at $7 rather than $5 per sq ft. Same 110 sq ft purchase quantity and same installation scope. Supply difference $220; agreed 30% markup $66; change +$286 before tax. No previous changes: revised example price $14,891.50 before tax. Sample schedule effect +2 working days for delivery; enter revised date and affected payment milestone after confirmation. Approve before ordering. Any different freight, tax or installation cost must also be priced. 8. ISSUE CHECKLIST [ ] All bracketed fields resolved; teaching example removed.
